If you are already a foster carer for an independent fostering agency or a local authority and are thinking of transferring to a new fostering agency, then we’d love to hear from you.
Whatever your reasons, and whether you currently have a child in placement or not, call us in complete confidence to discuss what we can offer and whether we would be a better home for you. If we are the right fit for you, we will help you start the process of transferring.
We value the extraordinary work of our foster carers, so we provide:
• One of the highest allowances in the area
• Excellent training
• Direct access to a therapist
• Support groups with other foster carers and access to experienced carers
• A range of social events
• 24hr support and advice from a social worker who knows you and the child you’re looking after
Making the change to a new fostering agency
Once you are sure transferring to Fitzgerald Fostering is the right decision, you will need to inform your existing agency or local authority in writing of your intention to transfer. When you have done this, you can then apply to become a foster carer with Fitzgerald Fostering. You will then be allocated a social worker to guide and support you through the transfer process. We will be with you every step of the way.
