Making an application to foster

couple appyling to be foster carers

A fostering application will ask for information regarding
• Identity and contact information for those applying to foster. If you are a couple living together this should be a joint application as you foster as a family, and all who live in the home are involved.

• Family, household and relationship details, including those of children and/or previous partners who no longer live with you.

• Employment and financial stability

• Accommodation (though we will have already visited and seen this).

• Health and medical history, including contact details for your GP.

You’ll also be asked to provide a minimum of 3 personal referees who know you well and will be interviewed as part of the process, to gather supporting information in relation to your character and relevant or transferable experience.
