The overriding aim of Fitzgerald Fostering is to provide a comprehensive, high quality range of foster placements, with approved carers, for children and young people who are unable to live within their families of origin on a short- or long-term basis.
How do we achieve this?
- We ensure children are cared for in homes where they: feel safe; are listened too; feel able to express their wishes and feelings; and feel valued as individuals.
- We operate rigorous recruitment and assessment processes ensuring we only approve foster carers that are able to deliver high standards of care to the children placed with them.
- Once approved foster carers are provided with extensive support, supervision, and training.
- The agency works collaboratively with foster carers, other professionals, and children and young people to meet the identified needs of the children placed with our foster carers.
