We understand that this can be a very difficult decision to make and that there are many reasons why you might want to want to transfer to a new fostering agency. Making the change
Transferring from an independent agency or local authority can seem daunting, but we will be there to support you through the process. You can transfer agency whether you currently have a child in placement or not. The first step in the process would be to talk to us about your desire to transfer. Once you are sure transferring to Fitzgerald Fostering is the right decision you will need to inform your existing agency or local authority in writing of your intention to transfer. When you have done this, you can then apply to become a foster carer with Fitzgerald Fostering. You will then be allocated a social worker to guide and support you through the assessment and transfer process. We will be with you every step of the way.
